Sam is a wonderful trainer.  His outdoor pursuits inspired us with a multitude of reasons to embrace all aspects of nature and outdoor life. The students attending this course were all motivated to follow in Sam’s footsteps and engage children in a variety of fun outdoor activities with children in their own settings.

Sam has organised a number of community learning events with me. He is very organised and plans great learning experiences for adults and children.  Children and their carers raved about the cooking on the fire and the fauna identification activities in their evaluations.  I would highly recommend a Sam Jackson led event at any school.

The children thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor activities.  All the children were eager and excited to find out more.  A fantastic day – managed and delivered very well.  A really interesting way to focus on our topic of the Great Fire of London.

Sam’s session was tailored and linked very well to our rainforests topic.  The session delivered exactly what we hoped it would – the children learnt about adaptations and were able to extend their knowledge in a creative way, at a perfect pace and with a range of activities.  The day was excellently delivered!

Over the three sessions, all the children learnt new skills and enjoyed their time outdoors! It gave me increased knowledge and the confidence to plan and to deliver similar activities myself. The original aim, to link to PE and specifically an outdoor and adventurous activity core task, was met – especially on teamworking and cooperation. All the sessions were well planned and organised and they were delivered and managed well. Every activity challenged the children and taught them new skills. It was good to see less confident children have the opportunity to shine too!
