Duration: Full Day

Writing & Real Life Experiences Activities Include:
  • Creating works of outdoor art using different textures
  • Developing cooperation and teamwork skills
  • Developing speaking and listening skills by describing their work to the class
  • Writing instructions and sequencing events
  • Creative writing to explore and describe ideas
  • Using handwriting to label diagrams

Writing & Real Life Experiences

The creative outdoor activities, delivered in your school grounds, have been developed to help support the ‘creative curriculum’ approach to teaching and learning designed to support children’s natural curiosity. Your grounds are a high quality learning environment and the activities delivered will enable every learner to become more creative.

Children will use their senses and imagination - making learning exciting and memorable. They will explore colours and textures, use natural materials to produce sculptures and mini-shelters and be encouraged to speak about their work and also listen and respond to others.

Later in the day the children will use these real life experiences to create pieces of writing that explore their creativity, to sequence events and recount them and to extend their vocabulary and use it within their work.

Please get in touch for more details or to discuss your specific requirements.

"As children, everything amazes us and we think anything is possible. We continuously experience life with a sense of newness and unbridled curiosity" (Berry)
